Okay, there's literally no denying that we humans absolutely adore food. Food is life after all. And lucky for us and modern-day civilisation we have produced and reproduced breakfast and brunch in many forms. The list of options is endless but we do love a good listicle here at Trends so we decided to do all the hard work for you guys and whittle them down to just 15 epic, unreal, amazing places in Portland. And believe us - it was a tough task as PDX is legendary for being a brekkie/brunch town... Check them out:
These guys are famous for their Sunday Brunch. Reservations are a must. $35 per person for four courses and for what you get is an absolute bargain.

The team in Sweedeedee are all about the details. The service is great, they've refillable coffee and a really healthy but delicious menu. It would be a sin to come here and not order a sweet treat at the end though... just a gentle reminder!

Besides being a great place to set up camp if you're working remotely... this is also a superb breakfast/brunch venue. Advice? Get the French toast - it's to die for.

This Cuban institution is much loved by the peeps of PDX. The food is served in rainbow colours, which means you know you're eating the healthy food of the gods. And if you feel like a little something extra - get the banana milkshake. DO it.

If you want to treat yo'self get down to any of The Waffle Window's outlets. Come hungry so that you can attempt to tackle the incredible delights on the menu. Epic stuff.

With half a dozen outlets in PDX there's no debate over Petit Provence being on this list. Head here with your closest pals and enjoy a morning of over-indulgence. From their sweet to savoury dishes you'll be spoilt for choice. Delightful little place(s).

If you're on the market for the ultimate food porn experience then look no further than Urban Farmer. It's a bit on the pricer side of life but it's a real treat for brunch.

Boozy brunch you say? Combine that with some amazing comfort food (don't come here without getting the mac 'n cheese) and you've a recipe for a great afternoon out. Oh and did we mention they're dog friendly too??? 'Nuff said.

With two locations across the city, Broder has made quite the name for itself. This stunning Swedish restaurant chain has been going strong since 2007 and serve up tasty but clean versions of breakfast and brunch options.

Doing things a little differently is Slappy Cakes - you get to cook your own pancakes. Most of their places do lunch and dinner now too but they'll always be known for their DIY ethos. Perfect place to bring the family at the weekend!

This is the ideal venue to hit up for that hearty breakfast or brunch (depending what time you get out of the scratcher). Everyone deserves some Praline Bacon Waffles. Absolutely everyone... or you can settle for some fried chicken on waffle. Drool.

Why settle for the mediocre when you can go the full hog? Get your traditional home cooking Mom-style fix right here. They're open during the week from 7am so there's no excuse not to stop by and get all nostalgic for a while.

Even though we have an unexplained gripe over the use of the word Bijou in business we just can't fault this place. Come here if you're looking for a gourmet experience. Just LOOK at those photos....!

This amazing American style diner is made for people who have plenty of room in their stomachs. Super value for money dishes and a super-friendly atmosphere will leave you rolling out of here with a wide smile!

With three outlets across town, these guys are killing it. The menu is made up of a mixture of sweet and savoury options served on golden Creamtop Buttermilk Biscuits... Definitely a place to try before you die.
