People have joked that the €15 'meal' is not unlike the now-famous food that was served at the fraudulent Fyre Festival.
Yesterday was an important day for the class of 2020, as Leaving Cert students across Ireland received their predicted grades/points after months of long, drawn-out waiting. A vastly different results day to those of the past, many students were at a loss as to how to mark the occasion given that the vast majority of pubs/nightclubs remain closed.
Usually one of their busiest nights of the year, Havana Browns in Cork had a number of different food sittings organised to help local students celebrate their hard work paying off. Good as that sounds on paper through, it seems that things didn't quite match up in person.
A ticketed event, customers were charged €15 a head with the price said to include a meal and live music. Sharing a photo of the 'meal' in question, Twitter user Joe Costigan, revealed that the night's special was actually a choice between a chicken fillet roll, a fish finger roll or a vegan sausage roll that came served with mayo and so wasn't really vegan at all. All served cold.
