Happy inaugural #CavanDay to all of you from Cavan! Brilliant idea to have a day to celebrate your county. Looking forward to a Wicklow Day so I can boast about the beauty & greatness of the Garden of Ireland! But Cavan people, today is your day! Enjoy!? https://t.co/EATuVUaG1f

Getting involved in the festivities, owners at The Boar's Head pub in Dublin shared a photo of the pub's exterior writing "always proud". Dublin based but Cavan run... 'a great oasis of Cavanness' according to some. https://twitter.com/cavancalling/status/1309828062956138497 Other events organised as part of the big day include a special virtual show that will be broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube at 5pm this afternoon. Featuring musical performances from some of the county's much-loved musicians, there will also be interviews with some of the Breffni County’s best-known figures from the world of sport, arts, food, and business. One question... when's Longford day? Just so I have the county colours ready. Header image via Shutterstock/Killykeen Forest Park, Co. CavanHappy #CavanDay ?? https://t.co/hlB0v1XBI6
